“They believe in their process and abide by it.”

Multiple choice, which of the following does the above refer to?

  1. Intermediaries working on buy-sell deals.
  2. A profit improvement plan.
  3. A sports team and their philosophy.
  4. Emerging companies raising money.
  5. University presidents dealing with campus protests.

It could be any of the above other than number five and it’s about a sports team. I saw it when a journalist described a team, their scheme, and how they pick players.

For years baseball teams adjusted the height of the grass and its watering depending on how the visitors hit, bunted, etc. Basketball teams with a big center (Kareem) build around him/her. Those whose star is a shooter (Steph Curry) build differently.

In business it’s the same. We have a proven process, and we need to abide by it. Many years ago, an industry leading speaker said his marketing had worked so well for years he decided to do something different. The new didn’t work as well so he reverted.

When a client follows our advice and plan it’s amazing how much sooner they get to their goal. It’s really pretty simple, do what you’re supposed to do and good things happen.
